MAN WHO AIMED LOW----HIT HIS TARGET---BEAUTIFULLY

HIS AIM: TO LIVE CHEAP---BUILD A SMALL NEST TO FOREVER FEATHER---GET A CAT TO LOVE----A FRIEND OR TWO TO CONNECT WITH---AND ENOUGH BEER TO STAY EVER BUZZED.
Meet Crow a man who has what he wants---built his tiny home---has appointed it with his favorite things---is improving it constantly. Take note of the slight bulge at the rear--will show you what it contains.
Interior shot worthy of some study---a masterwork of design--note the skylight for illumination (adjustable) --a host of electronic gadgets ---cubicles that contain a conglomeration of comforts.  The cat has  separate quarters up front in the cab---and an access door for visits.
Remember the rear bulge?  It contains this amazing stove--made of two cans.  Insulated area for safety--burns charcoal--one lump at a time--helps heat the place--safely vents out the top---ash removal door at the bottom.
His workspace is that of a busy man with many projects going.  I think he is a genuine AUTOTELIC personality. (self motivator--)
That's the face of contentment.  AAh --but the beer---this early---his breath--suggest he has a outsized fondness for it.

RANDY PHILOSOPHIZES:  I like this guy's adjustment to life---he is a kind of visionary---that made his vision real---he manages his resources with great care---has many projects brewing in his head---has located himself in a community of extremely low rent--($80-$100 a month)--with accepting friends.  Micro living such as this--could solve many of the world's problems. Aiming low has its advantages.

  1. I wonder if Crow has tried a cat food stove over his coal stove. Can you ask him?

Randy, great article until you start getting judgemental - re, your comment on his beer drinking. You praise him for his projects, ingenuity, and life and then give him a backhanded slap because he does not live up to your moral (?) standards on when to drink a beer. It does not appear that his beer drinking hurts anything so why comment? You are acting like the religious shits you criticize.

Agreed. It's a silly taboo to assume there is something immoral or wrong in any way that to consume beer (or any kind of alcohol) before a specific time in the day is reflection of poor character. A single can of beer is probably the best possible breakfast for people that have trouble eating breakfast (like I do), and there's nothing wrong with that. And if you don't have to travel anywhere (to work or wherever), and you want to get a buzz on while you do your own thing, where's the harm in drinking as many as you want as soon as you wake up?

You do what you like, when you like. Nothing wrong with that as long as it doesn't interfere with others or inhibit you as an individual.

Still, great article. Would like to know more about this man. Thanks for sharing Randy.
