RANDY RANTS: WHAT BLACKS AND LIBERALS ARE DOING TO THEMSELVES IN THE MICHAEL BROWN MATTER

YOU ARE MY PEOPLE AND YOU ARE EMBARRASSING YOURSELVES BEFORE THE WHOLE WORLD.

YOU ARE MY PEOPLE;  I WENT TO JAIL FOR YOU AND WITH YOU WHEN WE WERE WINNING CIVIL RIGHTS.

JUSTICE IS THE RIGHT CAUSE AND MICHAEL BROWN IS THE WRONG SYMBOL.
He was a thief and a brute (did you not see the film??) His death was a justified killing.

BY SUPPORTING HIS CASE YOU MAKE OUR SIDE LOOK STUPID.

BY SUPPORTING HIS CASE YOU LEND CREDENCE TO THE RIGHT WING CRAZIES.  They are understandably perplexed that we cannot be persuaded by scientific evidence.

IRREFUTABLE SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE PROVES THAT DARREL WILSON WAS ATTACKED IN HIS POLICE CAR.

IRREFUTABLE SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE PROVES THAT MICHAEL BROWN WAS CHARGING OFFICER WILSON WHEN HE WAS KILLED. (His blood was found 20 feet BEHIND him---proving that he was moving TOWARD officer Wilson)

Please listen to me my misguided companions on the left.  By supporting this case you convince the right wing that we are irrational and they will generalize that suspicion to all the issues we fight for:
a LIVING WAGE, NATIONAL HEALTH CARE, GENDER RIGHTS, GAY RIGHTS, ABORTION RIGHTS, A FAIR SHAKE FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS ETC.

PICK A BETTER CASE TO GET RILED UP ABOUT:  THEY ARE OUT THERE.  One where the shooting was not justified.

Cops are indeed brittle---defensive about black males.  Let us be honest and admit that it is not without cause. (disproportionate crime) Cops will become less brittle and defensive and pro active as blacks give them less reason to be.  Blacks have some responsibility in this matter---to behave in a law abiding manner in their dealings with the police.  We will have to work together to make this prejudice and suspicion fade away.

My personal reaction to this mess is to move away from black neighborhoods and concentrations of Blacks.
I will not drive through Black areas till I feel safe.  They are venting their rage now and are as irrational as hell.  They are losing their allies in their frenzy.

My reaction to my liberal friends is to chastise them and tell them to think harder---pick winning horses to ride---learn to distinguish fly shit from pepper.

  1. You speak the truth. Too bad the liberal media and our political leaders won't do the same. Anything for a headline.

  2. Really, find a different cause. How about law enforcement seizing cash?

My favorite line from this story mentions the seizures of "less than $20".
A cop stops you TAKES YOUR MONEY ("less than $20) then LETS YOU GO???

What does that sound like to you? It's legal if it's a cop.

    >>Half of the more than $5.5 million in cash seizures were for $141 or less, with more than a thousand for less than $20.<<

There are lot's of causes out there & legal armed robbery sounds like a good one!

wow what an ignorant over privileged white man you are, you are not a civil rights advocate or even a compassionate individual. don't pretend you are progressive, you are as nutty as the teapublican nutters. I feel sorry for you, dude. may you die in peace and when arriving on the other side be incredibly ashamed and repent of your cruelty.

    1. 3 fingers pointed right back atcha. You sound like a nut job on the left - your sense of "compassion" and sense of justice has clouded your ability to make sound judgments. Just the type of person Randy speaks about.

  6. I am in disbelief over the nonsense that even well educated people have spewed over this case. There is no reasoning with people who refuse to let go of their BS narrative of the gentle giant 'college student' and and the racist cop who as the mother said today 'was determined to kill someone that day'. They supposedly want justice and they got it but they would rather loot and riot and railroad the innocent than admit that Brown brought this on himself. One look at the video and it's clear this thug never had a future, it's just a matter of time until prison or a violent death. Tonight I watched dozens of looters on the same camera breaking into and lighting the store on fire.

CNN is criminal, they lent credence to this whole stupid story from the start and even now refuse to accept the evidence that is available to all.

You are right, many progressives are complete fools. If mob rule and anarchy is what they are progressing towards the entire nation will rise against them.

I lived in Wash DC for years, loads of crime and dysfunction. One day I came across old magazines documenting black life in the 40s and 50s during the bad old days of segregation. What I saw was well dressed intact families, working people and professionals going about their lives with dignity and respect for themselves and others. It was astonishing, what the hell has happened to these communities since then?

This is what Fluoride does to the brain. 75% of the nation's water is fluoridated and almost all of its toothpaste. Fluoride causes brain damage.

  8. I think it's funny how people, especially Whites, are incensed over the justified killing of felonious Blacks but NO WAY IN HELL live amongst them in places like Ferguson.

They move the first chance they get.

    Full of shit Hypocrites.

That's right Rider; the entire civil rights movement was malinformed and misguided -- all that effort and lives lost (including a few -- gasp -- WHITE lives) for nothing. Your comment is little better than those who claim the blacks were better off under slavery. Opression is complete when we can fully blame the victims for their own circumstance. Mission accomplished!

Respectfully, I am in no way stating any such thing. Civil rights were long overdue and all people of good conscience supported those marchers and activists, who by the way were well dressed, mannered and dignified in their actions and discipline. They rightfully shamed our society into recognition of their grievances and humanity. Contrast that to the looters and incoherent rabble of the so called protestors in Ferguson. MLK would be ashamed. To try to conflate this case with the civil rights movement is absurd.

My point is that the black family and community structure has collapsed since the early 60s even as institutionalized legal obstacles were removed. Perhaps the progressive agenda has not served them well. I don't know. But when you act in the beastly manner that Michael Brown and the looters later caught on the same video camera did you have no credible future no matter what the laws or opportunities are.

Yes a young mans life is ended way to soon.
The news media needs to ask Bowns parents why he thought it was ok to steal and asult a store owner. That's what started the whole thing.
And where does the mentality come from that says if a young man is killed it's ok to loot.

  13. To attribute this tragedy to race is nonsense, and to prove it all you have to do is swap the places of the participants. If Officer Warren had been black, and Michael Brown white the end result would have been the same. An Officer is viciously attacked by a man that is much larger, and reacts with deadly force. It is later proven that the white suspect was involved in a robbery, which is a felony, and the black officer had reasonable suspicion to stop him.

The only thing that changes in the aftermath is there are no riots.

Randy is right, there are certainly civil rights abuses in the country. However this is hardly the one to hang your hat on.

    Randy,
Great comments, however your position about some things you mentioned could have been written from the right side of the aisle as well.
Liberal vs conservative, black vs white, to paraphrase Gandhi "you must be the change you want to see in the world,

Randy, I like your rant, but I think we have been presented with distorted pictures of both parties. Brown was, at least on that day, acting thuggish to say the least. But Wilson has some pretty large holes in his story, too. And the Ferguson PD and County Prosecutor have been manipulating the situation from the start to try to affect public sentiment and justify their actions.

Wilson claims he tried to evaluate whether he would be justified in using deadly force against Brown and came to the conclusion he had no other choice. I think he was asking the wrong question. The question should have been "How can I avoid killing this person today?" He runs down his list of options: Taser, don't have one. Pepper spray, can't reach it. Baton, can't get a good swing from inside the car. But he never considers the option of simply pressing down the accelerator, calling for backup and keeping Brown in sight.

I probably wouldn't have considered that approach for LEOs had this incident not fallen on the heels of the Cliven Bundy Uprising, in which Law Enforcement backed down in the face of an armed white mob that was defending an habitual lawbreaker, with a 20 year history of theft from the Government. Buddy is not even in jail, much less dead and he has stolen a lot more than a handful of Swisher Sweets.

Why was Wilson allowed to handle his own weapon after using it in the shooting? Why was the incident repot not filed within the Ferguson PD in a timely fashon? Was it to give time for the irrefutable evidence, such as video tapes to surface and then produce a story that was not contradicted by any factual presentation? We don't know, but we do know that Wilson had had three months to concoct and rehearse his public story and presentation of himself. My response to that is maybe, maybe not. The fix was in from day one for the system to protect and defend Darren Wilson and it has done so, so f
The fix was in from day one for the system to protect and defend Darren Wilson and it has done so, so far. So we should just conclude that the death penalty is appropriate for some cigars and wait for the next story on the news about handling a bb gun while black also being a capital offense? I hope not.

  16. Anonymous: Thank you for a thoughtful response. You make a compelling point I had not considered----the Clivon Bundy case---where law enforcement backed down to avoid bloodshed.
The larger question for both sides to ponder is how our enforcement officers handle the non-compliant. This very day judgement on the New York strangling incident is due.
If people can refuse compliance--society will slip into brute ruled disorder. Cops must be obeyed or chaos will reign.
I wish for my deeply suspicious and cynical friends that they live awhile under a police force that is truly corrupt---like Mexico.
Re: Darrel Wilson---are you outraged that Michael Brown slugged the officer?
    Do you doubt it happened?
I like your suggestion--Wilson could have called for backup and followed. I'm guessing he was trained to take charge and resolve situations immediately---99% of the time he probably could have. But once Brown charged him I think the shoot was justified. A routine matter spiraled out of control.
I have reported elsewhere that I was once enraged at an officer and charged at him so I can imagine the mental state of Brown. Luckily, I came to my senses in time. If the officer had shot me I would (now) judge it a justifiable shoot. Rage makes us do crazy things.
